Back from Vacation

Those following the mailing list or who have set TextMate to check for cutting edge builds have probably noticed that I am back.

I had a really great time in New Zealand: Got to see a lot of absolutely stunning nature and tried a dozen or so neck breaking activities like sledging, river rafting, skydiving, and sharing a room with a stripper ;)

Many thanks to Tim Bromhead who was kind enough to invite us to his beach house at the Coromandel Peninsula, Bruce Hoult for hospitality and taking us soaring, Nat Torkington for the Kiwi Foo Camp invitation, Michael Koziarski for picking up part of my luggage, Jakub Nešetřil for dinner in Auckland, and the dozens of other kiwis (and tourists) who helped make it a great stay (you won’t believe how friendly the locals are down there!).

Also my hat goes off to D.O.C. for their work preserving the wonderful nature and making it accessible to tourists!

Welcome back! Glad you had a great time, but (and I don’t think I’m along here) I’m even more glad that you’re back! Thanks, and keep up the great work.

Good to see you back, I’m glad you had a great time here! I haven’t decided yet, if I’m looking forward more for OS X 10.5 or TextMate 2. :)

and sharing a room with a stripper

Aw, you can’t drop a bomb like that and not show us pictures… Or at least more details.

At least I know my registration is being used for a good cause.

Welcome back. Glad you had a good time.

Welcome back Allan. It’s great to hear that so many people made your holiday so much more comfortable.

I hope that coming back isn’t too much of a culture shock, and that it’s not too long before you get back into the flow of things.

I’m sure that I speak for everyone when I say that I’d love to hear more about your adventures and antics from ‘down under’. :-)

Welcome back, Allen. It’s great to hear that you had such a positive experience down here despite the rather awful summer we have this year. Looking forward to new coding magic.
